At St. Johns there is a strong commitment to serving others! We are one of the leading congregations supporting the outreach ministries of the United Church of Christ.
In addition, our members are involved heavily in various ministries such as Feed My People, Habitat for Humanity and Church World Service. This year more than twenty-five persons of all ages from St. Johns will work on a special Habitat “build”. We are among the larger contributors to this vital outreach program.
We set aside a significant portion of our weekly receipts and mark them for “others”, and our Mission Commission makes recommendations for the use of these funds where there is special need. We are proud of our historic support of such UCC ministries as Evangelical Children’s Home, Emmaus Homes and the Five Church Ministries.
We encourage our members to be involved as volunteers in a variety of ministries.

St. Johns has a rich tradition of music. Our world-class organ provides power and leadership to a congregation that loves to sing its favorite hymns.
We have a Chancel Choir of mixed voices and the Harmony Singers (female voices) that enhance our worship on a regular basis. Additional members of the congregation combine with these choirs to create the St. Johns Choir and provide special choral music during Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter as well as other special occasions.
Regular choir rehearsals are on Thursday evening. New members are always welcome!
Organist-Director Robert Fletcher is a renowned musician whose talents are increasingly appreciated within the congregation and the wider community.
